We are looking for a Senior Game Artist to join our growing team! At Seepia, senior artists shape the visual experience of our games, and create stunning and unique art for a wide spectrum of themes and mechanics. Join us in this exciting frontier of real money game development!
What you’ll do:
- Establish a thrilling vision for each of our projects
- Work with our talented designers and animators to create world class game experiences
- Create beautifully rendered characters, environments, and more!
- Mentor and support our junior artists on their path to greatness
Who we think will do great in this role has:
- Excellent Photoshop skills: We’re looking for both image editing and digital art skills
- Experience in creating VFX or animations (Spine or 3D)
- Solid knowledge of game assets: You should be familiar with standard game industry jargon and know what kind of building blocks games are made of
- Efficient communication skills: Our typical projects are around 2 weeks in duration and we expect our artists to fluently communicate with the project manager and complete their tasks on time
- Stylistic flexibility: Our clients come in all styles from the cute and cartoony to painterly realism or even complete abstraction – you should be able to adjust to each project and stay true to the style of the client
- An amazing online portfolio or showreel: We are especially interested in seeing game screen mockups, in-game art assets, VFX and animations
- Ability to communicate both in written and spoken English
Who we think will do great in this role has:
- An amazing online portfolio: We are especially interested in seeing game screen mockups and game ready assets
- Excellent digital painting skills: You can paint characters, objects and environments in a clean and contemporary style that reads well on mobile devices.
- UI design skills: You understand the fundamentals of game UI and can create beautiful and clean UI assets in a variety of styles
- Solid understanding of game assets: You should know how games are structured and how to turn images into game assets
- Efficient communication skills: You will be working in a team of 4 to 10 people, and planning & discussing the game progress with both the team and our clients on a regular basis.
- Stylistic flexibility: Our projects span a range of styles, from bright, cartoon-art games to painterly epics —adapting to different aesthetics is key
- Ability to communicate fluently in English (both written and spoken)
- Familiarity with real money games: Familiarity with visual trends in slot games, scratch cards, and other casino experiences is a big plus.
We’d love it if you have some of these:
- Gambling game industry experience (real-money or social casino games)
- 3D skills (modeling, rendering, or animation)
- 2D animation skills (we mostly work with Spine2D)
- UX design skills
- Vectoring skills
- Graphic design expertise
